Lisa Iacovantuono
Lisa Iacovantuono is an English teacher and native-level bilingual (Italian–Canadian). Daughter of a Canadian mother and an Italian father, she was raised in Italy while maintaining a strong connection with Canada, where she regularly spent time with her family in Toronto and attended English-language summer programmes from an early age.
She holds a BA in Comparative Languages and Cultures from the University of Naples “L’Orientale” and obtained the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from International House London, one of the most internationally recognised qualifications for English language teaching.
She has over six years of experience in language education, teaching English to children, teenagers and adults. Throughout her career, she has worked with language schools, educational institutions and learning programmes, specialising in Cambridge English, Pearson and LanguageCert exam preparation.
She has also developed significant experience with young learners through bilingual babysitting, summer camps and educational programmes for preschool and school-age children. This experience has allowed her to develop a dynamic, creative and engaging teaching style, focused on supporting natural language acquisition from an early age.
She has previously held the role of Academic Coordinator, contributing to the organisation of teaching activities and supporting the English department.
She has a strong interest in inclusive education and has completed specialist training in Specific Learning Disorders (DSA) and Special Educational Needs (BES), as well as a course in Socio-Pedagogical Education.
She has also completed Kindermusik training, working with children aged 3 to 5 through music-based English activities, integrating music, movement and language learning in a playful yet structured educational environment.
Her educational approach is strongly oriented towards early childhood and experiential learning, using practical, musical and communicative activities to foster natural English acquisition while encouraging confidence, curiosity and active participation from the earliest stages.
Since 2025 she has been part of the St Philip team as a kindergarten teacher.
