Tatiana Kozlova

Tatiana Kozlova, a bilingual English–Russian speaker, moved to Rome after spending six years in Michigan (USA) to pursue her university studies. She earned both a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages and Literatures for Intercultural Communication and a Master’s Degree in Languages and Literatures for Teaching and Translation from Roma Tre University, graduating with highest honors.

She qualified to teach English Language and Literature in lower and upper secondary schools, first by earning 24 university credits (CFU) in anthropological, psychological, and pedagogical disciplines, and later by completing the 60-CFU teacher qualification program at the same university.

Over the years, she has gained significant experience teaching English, holding positions at LUISS University and several schools in Rome, including Scuola Media Cardarelli, Liceo Classico “Benedetto da Norcia”, IIS Cine-TV “Roberto Rossellini”, and Istituto Comprensivo Padre Semeria.

Since 2015, she has been working at St. Philip School, where she began as a primary school teacher. With the opening of the lower secondary section, she was appointed as a full-time teacher at the lower secondary school. She currently coordinates the Cambridge programmes, manages intercultural telecollaboration projects, and serves as the Cambridge Exams Officer.

Mrs. Kozlova has always combined teaching practice with academic research. In 2024, she began her PhD in English Literature, Language, and Translation Studies at Sapienza University of Rome, where she is conducting a research project titled: 

“New Approaches to Raising Young Learners' Awareness of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) through Technology-Enabled Interactions: From Intercultural Telecollaboration to Generative AI.”

She is the author of several articles published in academic journals in the field of language education and has presented at numerous national and international conferences.

Her main research interests include English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), sociocultural theory, educational linguistics, and the potential of artificial intelligence in language acquisition.
